Don McMaster has been painting professionally for 32 years. Following retirement from a teaching career, he and his wife, Ardythe, moved from Winnipeg to the Lavenham district, where they enjoy outdoor life on 400 acres of woods and prairie. During the winter they help to maintain the Bittersweet Cross Country Ski Trail System on their land and adjacent property.
Don’s focus has been on prairie landscapes using a variety of media, including acrylics, egg tempera and water colours. Although well known for his larger paintings, each year he produces a number of small to medium-sized work, suitable for showing in smaller spaces. He is one of the original artists showing at Art Expo. Each year he exhibits all of his new work as well as a few selected pieces from the past.
